------ { My Background } ------ Having tutored for many years, my first instinct out of college was to teach: I immediately became a videography instructor at an arts camp, worked as a private tutor in Boston for a year, and then went on to teach English in Thailand for over two and half years, at both the high school and elementary school levels. In my work as a private tutor, I taught a whole range of ages and subjects (SAT, writing, math, GRE), an many different kinds of students (including those with learning disabilities). ------ { How I Can Help } ------ Whether it's English class, college essays, application writing, or even fiction, I’m an excellent guide in the writing process. Some of my students are intelligent and motivated, but just can’t seem to get their minds organized. Having been diagnosed with ADHD, and having worked with organizational coaches myself, I understand. On the other hand, if you can get the words on the page, but aren't receiving the A’s you expect, I can help you take it farther by improving your prose, solidifying your arguments, or helping you find your distinctive voice. ------ { Other Information } ------ While writing and study skills are my unique points, like many on this website, I have also excelled in math, sciences, as well as standardized testing.
