As a retired teacher, I am available to tutor students at hours convenient for prospective students. My philosophy of teaching is based on a saying by Confucius..."Tell me and I will forget. Show me and I may remember. Involve me and I will remember". Doing math involves fluency with basic skills, understanding concepts, being able to communicate using appropriate mathematical language, solving problems. As a tutor, I customize sessions to address specific student needs and goals by using varied strategies. Between sessions, I am available for questions or concerns.
